Aaron Portzline of the Athletic speculates potential trade offers from four teams believed to be frontrunners for Seth Jones: the Chicago Blackhawks, Philadelphia Flyers, Colorado Avalanche and Los Angeles Kings.
The trade proposal for the Blackhawks was: Philipp Kurashev, Nicolas Beaudin, Lukas Reichel and a 2022 1st round pick.
The proposals for the other three were of a similar vein–each included a 1st round pick (the Kings’ lottery protected), but the headliner prospects and young players for each organization were left out. No Joel Farabee for the Flyers. No Quinton Byfield or Alex Turcotte for the Kings. No Bowen Byram or even Alex Newhook for the Avalanche.
Jones has one season left at a manageable $5.4 million cap hit. The interest in him will be a story to follow in the coming weeks.
