According to Michael Russo, the Minnesota Wild are buying out both Zach Parise and Ryan Suter.
The writing was on the wall for Parise, but Suter comes as a surprise. The pair will carry buy-out cap hits through 2028-29, including cap hits exceeding $7 million in 2023-24 and 2024-25.
This clears up Minnesota’s expansion problem nicely, however. They can now protect Matt Dumba while still protecting 7 forwards.
