Larry Brooks of the New York Post reports that the Rangers are expected to sign Patrik Nemeth when free agency opens.
He suggests it will be a two or three-year deal for between $2.25 and 2.75 million per season.
Nemeth split last season between the Red Wings and Avalanche. He was one of three defensemen that the Avalanche leaned on for penalty killing in the playoffs along with Ryan Graves and Devon Toews.
Nemeth will be expected to form a third pair with fellow swede and rookie Nils Lundkvist.
