Blue Jackets claim Spencer Martin

The Columbus Blue Jackets have claimed Spencer Martin off waivers from the Vancouver Canucks.

There was lots of buzz about Martin being connected to the Avalanche and Lightning with their recent injury news for Pavel Francouz and Andrei Vasilevskiy, respectively, but the Blue Jackets are the team to be awarded Martin from waivers. He will presumably battle for the backup job with Daniil Tarasov.
