Hurricanes waive Raanta

The Carolina Hurricanes have waived goaltender Antti Raanta.

Raanta has really struggled this season, sporting a 0.854 SV% in 14 games.

Carolina signed veteran goalie Jaroslav Halak to a try-out earlier in the season but have since released him.

The Hurricanes will likely be looking for other solutions in net, as Frederik Andersen is out long-term and Pyotr Kochetkov has been subpar as well.

Kevin Weekes tweeted earlier today that Karel Vejmelka of the Coyotes has been drawing interest from teams around the league, and he seems to be a potential candidate for the Hurricanes.
