The Detroit Red Wings have re-signed Jonatan Berggren to a 1-year contract.
Berggren, 24, played only 12 games with the Red Wings last season, but had 24 goals and 32 assists in 53 games with Grand Rapids of the AHL.
The Red Wings still have two key RFAs in Lucas Raymond and Moritz Seider left to sign. The Red Wings reportedly want to keep the average annual value of both new contracts below captain Dylan Larkin’s $8.7 million.
