The Utah Mammoth have signed Nate Schmidt to a 3-year contract with a cap hit of $3.5 million.
The defenseman signed a 1-year contract with the Panthers last season after being bought out by the Jets.
Schmidt, 33, had 5 goals and 14 assists in 80 games with the Panthers.
