Sabres re-sign Devon Levi

The Buffalo Sabres have re-signed Devon Levi to a 2-year contract with a cap hit of $812,500.

The contract is for the NHL minimum salary of $775,000 in 2025-26 and $850,000 in 2026-27. Sometimes young NHLers will take a lower cap hit than they potentially could to make it easier for the NHL team to justify keeping them in the NHL. The Sabres have Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen and the recently signed Alex Lyon in net. Levi can be sent to the AHL without waivers.

Levi, 23, will have 2 RFA seasons remaining after this contract expires. He has had mixed results at the NHL level through his young career, but went 25-13-4 with a 0.919 SV% with Rochester of the AHL last season.
