The Dallas Stars have acquired Tyler Myers from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for a 2027 2nd round pick and a 2029 4th round pick.
The Canucks are retaining half of Myers’ $3 million cap hit through the contract’s conclusion at the end of the 2026-27 season.
The Canucks reportedly had a deal with the Red Wings last week, but Myers exercised his trade protection to block the trade. Dallas appears to have been the defender’s preferred destination, as he was born in Houston.
