Avalanche acquire Nicolas Roy

The Colorado Avalanche have acquired Nicolas Roy from the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for a 1st round pick in 2027 and a 5th round pick in 2026.

The 1st round pick is top-10 protected.

The Leafs had previously acquired Roy from the Vegas Golden Knights in exchange for the negotiating rights to Mitch Marner last summer. He has 1 year left on his current contract at a cap hit of $3 million.

Roy, 29, has 5 goals and 15 assists in 59 games for the Leafs this season.
