The Montreal Canadiens have signed Joe Veleno to a 1-year, $900,000 contract.
The center was traded from the Blackhawks to the Kraken this summer in a trade that sent Andrei Burakovsky to the Kraken, before being bought out of the final year of his contract.
Veleno, 25, had 8 goals and 9 assists in 74 games split between the Red Wings and Blackhawks last season.
