Yegor Chinakhov has asked for a trade from the Columbus Blue Jackets.
The winger was injured for most of last season, and when he returned to health, was a healthy scratch for some games. That, according to general manager Don Waddell, is the source of Chinakhov’s frustration.
Chinakhov, 24, had 7 goals and 8 assists in 30 games for the Blue Jackets last season. He had a stronger 2023-24 season, putting up 16 goals and 13 assists in 53 games.
Chinakhov is signed through 2025-26 at a cap-hit of $2.1 million.
