The Edmonton Oilers have acquired Connor Murphy from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for a 2028 2nd round pick.
The Blackhawks are absorbing 50% of Murphy’s contract, which carries a total cap hit of $4.4 million and expires after this season.
Murphy, 32, leads the Blackhawks in blocked shots this season with 87.
