According to Carolina Hurricanes general manager Don Waddell, the team might consider moving one of it’s goaltenders.
“We don’t have a lot of cap space. If we’re going to do something at the trade deadline, maybe one of the chips is one of our goalies. I can’t say which one. It depends.”
James Reimer and Alex Nedeljkovic have handled the crease since Petr Mrazek’s injury early in the season.
If Carolina is to move one, Reimer would be the most likely candidate, followed by Mrazek.
Waddell notes he’d like a right-handed defenseman to improve his team’s balance.
