• Canucks re-sign Brock Boeser

    The Vancouver Canucks have re-signed Brock Boeser to a 7-year contract with a $7.25 million cap hit.

    There was plenty of reported interest in Boeser, including the Oilers, Jets and Kings, but the Canucks came out of left field to bring back their own winger.

    Boeser, 28, had 25 goals and 25 assists in 75 games for the Canucks last season.

  • Sharks re-sign William Eklund

    The San Jose Sharks have re-signed William Eklund to a 3-year contract with a cap hit of $5.6 million.

    The winger has 1 more season on his entry-level contract. This new 3-year pact will being in 2026-27.

    Eklund, 22, had 17 goals and 41 assists in 77 games for the Sharks last season.

  • Flyers sign Christian Dvorak

    The Philadelphia Flyers have signed Christian Dvorak to a 1-year contract worth $5.4 million.

    Dvorak, 29, had 12 goals and 21 assists in 82 games for the Canadiens last season.

  • Canadiens acquire Bolduc for Mailloux

    The St. Louis Blues have acquired Logan Mailloux from the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for Zachary Bolduc.

    The Canadiens have a crowded right side of their defense after acquiring Noah Dobson, making Mailloux expendable.

    Bolduc, 22, had 19 goals and 17 assists in 72 games for the Blues last season.

    Mailloux, 22, had 12 goals and 21 assists in 63 games for Laval of the AHL.

  • Bruins acquire Viktor Arvidsson

    The Boston Bruins have acquired Viktor Arvidsson from the Edmonton Oilers for a 5th round pick in 2027.

    Arvidsson signed a 2-year contract with the Oilers last season with a $4 million cap hit, but failed to grasp a significant role in the lineup.

    Arvidsson, 32, had 15 goals and 12 assists in 67 games with the Oilers last season.

  • Devils re-sign Jake Allen

    The New Jersey Devils have re-signed Jake Allen to a 5-year contract with a $1.8 million cap hit.

    There figured to be lots of interest in Allen had he gotten to free agency, but the Devils locked him up before that point.

    Allen, 34, went 13-16-1 with a 0.908 SV% with the Devils last season.

  • Hurricanes re-sign Logan Stankoven

    The Carolina Hurricanes have re-signed Logan Stankoven to a 8-year contract with a $6 million cap hit.

    Stankoven has 1 season remaining on his entry-level contract. This deal will start in the 2026-27 season.

    Stankoven, 22, was the big part of the trade that sent Mikko Rantanen to Dallas. He had 14 goals and 24 assists in 78 games last season.

  • Canucks re-sign Thatcher Demko

    The Vancouver Canucks have agreed to an 3-year contract extension with Thatcher Demko with a cap hit of $8.5 million.

    Demko is signed through next season at a cap hit of $5 million, so this contract will start in 2026-27. He was eligible to be a UFA after this coming season.

    Demko, 29, had a difficult 2024-25 season as he recovered from injury going 10-8-3 with a 0.889 SV%.
