Bruins acquire Mittelstadt for Coyle
The Boston Bruins have acquired Casey Mittelstadt and a 2nd round pick from the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for Charlie Coyle and a 5th round pick.
The Avalanche acquired Mittelstadt from Buffalo at the 2024 trade deadline in a trade that sent Bowen Byram to the Sabres.
Coyle has had a down year offensively in 2024-25, only putting up 15 goals and 7 assists in 64 games, after setting a career high with 60 points last season.

Red Wings acquire Petr Mrazek
The Detroit Red Wings have acquired Petr Mrazek and Craig Smith from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for Joe Veleno.
Mrazek was drafted by the Red Wings in 2010 and stayed with them until the 2017-18 season. The Blackhawks announced that he wouldn’t get starts after they acquired Spencer Knight. He will likely fill a depth role in Detroit too.
