The Colorado Avalanche have claimed goaltender Kaapo Kahkonen off waivers from the Winnipeg Jets.
Kakhonen signed a 1-year, $1 million contract with the Jets this summer, but they waived him this week, deciding to go with Eric Comrie behind Connor Hellebuyck.
The Avalanche already have Alexandar Georgiev and Justus Annunen on their roster, so it appears they will roll with 3 goalies for the time being.
