Canes to terminate contract of Kuznetsov
The Carolina Hurricanes and Evgeny Kuznetsov are mutually terminated the forward’s contract.
Both the Hurricanes and the Capitals will get an additional $3.9 million in cap space due from removing their commitments to Kuznetsov. The Capitals retained 50% of Kuznetsov’s $7.8 million cap hit in their trade with the Hurricanes at the trade deadline.
