The New York Rangers have signed Chad Ruhwedel to a 1-year contract.
The 2-way contract will pay a minimum of $450,000.
The Rangers acquired Ruhwedel from the Penguins at the 2024 trade deadline.
The St. Louis Blues have signed Ryan Suter to a 1-year contract.
Having been bought out by the Wild and Stars, Suter will draw paychecks from 3 teams this season.
The Florida Panthers have signed Adam Boqvist to a 1-year contract.
Boqvist was a UFA after Columbus declined to give him a qualifying offer. He joins a Florida blueline that has lost Brandon Montour and Oliver Ekman-Larsson this summer.
The Edmonton Oilers have acquired Matt Savoie from the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for Ryan McLeod and Ty Tullio.
Savoie was the Sabres’ 9th overall selection in 2022, but was apparently deemed expendable due to the number of high-caliber forward prospects in the Sabres’ system.
The Seattle Kraken have re-signed Eeli Tolvanen to a 2-year contract.
The contract is worth $3.475 million per year. Tolvanen, 25, will be a UFA at the end of the contract.
The Carolina Hurricanes have signed Jack Roslovic to a 1-year contract.
Roslovic started last season in Columbus and moved to the Rangers at the deadline, who bested the Hurricanes in the 2nd round of the playoffs.
The Detroit Red Wings have signed Vladimir Tarasenko to a 2-year contract.
Tarasenko joins Brandon Montour, Oliver Ekman-Larsson, Ryan Lomberg and Kevin Stenlund as members of the Cup-winning Panthers to move on in free agency.
