• Oilers re-sign Calvin Pickard

    The Edmonton Oilers have re-signed Calvin Pickard to a 2-year contract extension.

    Pickard, 32, went 12-7-1 with a 0.909 SV% with the Oilers after replacing Jack Campbell, who was demoted to the AHL.

  • Blues acquire Alexandre Texier

    The St. Louis Blues have acquired Alexandre Texier in a trade with the Columbus Blue Jackets.

    Texier’s new 2-year contract will take him within 1 year of unrestricted free agency.

    Texier, 24, had 12 goals and 18 assists in 78 games with the Blue Jackets last season.

  • Flyers to buy-out Atkinson

    The Philadelphia Flyers will buy-out Cam Atkinson.

    Atkinson just turned 35 in June, so he will be eligible for a 35+ contract with bonuses that could be pushed to the following year’s cap.

  • Predators to re-sign Saros

    The Nashville Predators will re-sign Juuse Saros to 8-year extension next week.

    Saros, 29, is signed through next season at a cap-hit of $5 million. His new contract will kick in for the 2025-26 season.

    It will be worth monitoring what will happen with young goalie Yaroslav Askarov this summer, with the Predators now having their starter locked up for the next 9 seasons.

  • Capitals acquire Andrew Mangiapane

    The Washington Capitals have acquired Andrew Mangiapane from the Calgary Flames for a 2025 2nd round pick.

    Mangiapane, 28, is signed through next season at a cap hit of $5.8 million, after which he’ll be a UFA. The winger had 14 goals and 26 assists in 75 games for the Flames last season.

  • Canucks re-sign Dakota Joshua

    The Vancouver Canucks have re-signed Dakota Joshua to a 4-year contract.

    Joshua, 28, had 18 goals and 14 assists in 63 games for the Canucks last season.

  • Stars to buy-out Ryan Suter

    The Dallas Stars will buy-out the final year of Ryan Suter’s contract.

    Suter becomes the 2nd player in NHL history to have his contract bought out multiple times in his career, joining Tony DeAngelo.

  • Avalanche re-sign Casey Mittelstadt

    The Colorado Avalanche have re-signed Casey Mittelstadt to a 3-year extension.

    The Avalanche acquired Mittelstadt from the Sabres at the trade deadline for Bowen Byram.

    The contract buys 1 of Mittelstadt’s UFA seasons.
