• Kraken Sign Will Borgen

    The Seattle Kraken have signed Will Borgen to a two-year deal.

    Borgen is one of only three right-handed shooting defensemen on the Kraken roster, along with Adam Larsson and Cale Fleury.

    Borgen, 24, will have RFA season left once this two-year deal is complete.

  • Preds Sign Dante Fabbro

    The Nashville Predators have signed Dante Fabbro to a two-year deal.

    Fabbro filed for salary arbitration earlier this week.

    The 23-year old defenseman will have two RFA seasons remaining after this contract. He had 2 goals and 10 assists in 40 games for the Predators in 2020-21.

  • Devils Sign Tomas Tatar

    The Devils have signed Tomas Tatar to a two-year deal.

    Tatar, 30, had 10 goals and 20 assists in 50 games for the Canadiens last season, though he was a frequent healthy scratch in the playoffs.

  • Jets Re-Sign Logan Stanley

    The Jets have signed Logan Stanley to a two-year deal.

    Stanley earned the trust of coach Paul Maurice late in the season and was a regular by the time the playoffs came around. He was protected by the Jets in the expansion draft over Dylan DeMelo.

    The 6’7″ defenseman had 1 goal and 3 assists in 37 games with the Jets in 2020-21.

  • Avalanche Sign Ryan Murray

    The Avalanche have signed defenseman Ryan Murray to a one-year contract.

    The 27-year old defensive defenseman had no goals and 14 assists in 48 games with the Devils last season.
  • Friedman: Dvorak a Name to Watch

    On today’s edition of 31 Thoughts: The Podcast (35:00), Elliotte Friedman says that he believes there’s a lot of teams that like Christian Dvorak and that he’s a name that’s come up a ton.

    He mentions the Flames, Wild, Canadiens, Sharks and Rangers as teams that have come up in connection to Dvorak.

    Dvorak, 25, is signed for four more seasons on his contract at a cap hit of $4.45 million. He had 17 goals and 14 assists in 56 games with the Coyotes last season.

  • Report: Rangers Close to Deal with Shesterkin

    The Rangers are close to a new contract with Igor Shesterkin worth between $5.75 and 6 million annually, reports Vince Mercogliano.

    Shesterkin is two years away from unrestricted free agent eligibility so at that price range one would have to believe they’re looking at least a five or six year deal.

    Shesterkin has played 47 NHL games, sporting a 2.59 GAA and a 0.921 SV%.

  • Fleury to Play for Blackhawks

    Marc-Andre Fleury has let the Blackhawks know that he will play for them in the upcoming season.

    Fleury’s agent Allan Walsh reported that Fleury would take some time with his family to discuss his future after getting traded to Chicago, as he did not want to leave Vegas.

    There were some rumors that a trade would be worked out with Pittsburgh if Fleury didn’t want to report to Chicago, but it was always Chicago’s intentions to have Fleury play for them.
