    Rick Dhaliwal of TSN 1040 reports that the Canucks have checked in on UFA Sami Vatanen.

    With Chis Tanev leaving in free agency, the Canucks have only Tyler Myers as a right-handed shooting defenseman, so it follows that they could be in on Vatanen. They have also been tied to Travis Hamonic.
